I’m always pushing myself to be better in basketball. This is the reason why I ended up with The Jump Manual. At first I was hesitant to try out the system. Believe me – as someone who tries to excel in their game, I have tried many systems. While some made me believe that it’s actually working, I noticed that my jump is almost the same and I just wasted time and money for something that doesn’t work.

The Jump Manual was recommended by my cousin who is an amazing basketball player. He shared his “secret” by giving me the official website of The Jump Manual. Although I was hesitant at first, I kept thinking about my cousin’s skills in the game once his jump significantly improved.
The program offered in the website is nothing short of amazing. There are other programs that could help you jump higher but this program is different simply because you will have personal support through email and even phone call. I never had the need to call for support but my cousin told me that he was able to talk to the Jacob Hiller (the man behind the program). The emails I received are not just encouraging but very technical which allowed me to look at my progress in a scientific manner. No more guessing and theories, the program is all about results when you do what is asked.

Don’t think that The Jump Manual is a “miracle pill” where you’ll have results in an instant. You will go through some grueling exercises that will push your body to the limit. But they are very doable especially for athletes. Simply go through the program and in a few weeks, you’ll notice considerable results in your jump. In my case, I have already reached my 10-inch vertical guarantee and I think I can still do more if I stay with the program for a few more months.

A person that can jump higher can easily out-rebound and out play their opponents because he or she can go higher. A high jumper can grab the ball first or have a clear shot since the blocker can’t easily rich the shooter. Every developing basketball player has to learn how to jump higher in basketball.

Vertical Jumps and Your Body

Before trying out any technique that will enhance your vertical jump, you need to prepare or condition your body for this feat. Burn the excess fats and calories as soon as possible since this will help in enhancing your muscles which is very important in your quest to improve your jumps. Discipline your body to eat the right food and sleep well. This routine should not be observed during your training but for many, many years. Staying fit will not only improve your skills in basketball, jumping higher for the game is an added reward.

Exercises to Jump Higher In Basketball

There are so many exercise related to the improvement of vertical jumps for basketball. But there is a pattern – most of these exercises are made to improve your leg muscles. Your exercises should help increase leg muscle strength. This is just common sense since you need power in your legs to boost you higher. This coincides with the idea of losing fats as excess fats in your body are just additional weight.

The following are some simple exercises that can help in improving your vertical jumps:

· Squats with jumps – go on a squat position and jump. Your landing should still be in the squatting position. This exercise has two purposes: first, it will improve the thigh and hamstring muscles and second, the exercise will help your body adjust to the jumps you are trying to do.

· Side by side jumps – with your legs together, jump from side to side. You can also jump in boxes or front-back-left-right pattern. It has the same effect on your body like the squat jumps but will also help in improving stamina. Have some small blocks so that you’ll be required to jump at a specific height.

· Jumping with weights – you don’t just magically improve your jump without actually jumping. Find a spot or a goal where you can constantly reach by jumping, add a few weights on your feet and try to reach that goal.

On Landing

Jumping in basketball is a very important skill but it can be easily destroyed if you don’t learn to land well. Land your feet as if it’s “rolling” which means your feet will absorb your weight first and your knee should bend to cushion the impact.
