· Side by side jumps – with your legs together, jump from side to side. You can also jump in boxes or front-back-left-right pattern. · Jumping with weights – you don’t just magically improve your jump without actually jumping. Find a spot or a goal where you can constantly reach by jumping, add a few weights on your feet and try to reach that goal.

Jumping in basketball is a very important skill but it can be easily destroyed if you don’t learn to land well. Land your feet as if it’s “rolling” which means your feet will absorb your weight first and your knee should bend to cushion the impact.
